Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted industrialist with three decades of business experience within the Zambian nation. His companies have achieved success not only in Zambia but also across several developed nations such as United Kingdom. He is also known among his industry peers and civilians for his charitable activities and philanthropic works. Despite these contributions to the economy and society of the Zambian nation; Dr. Rajan Mahtani is often the target of foul conspiracies and unethical accusations. More often than not, these accusations are taken to court and justice by Dr. Mahtani and his team and these unethical and foul allegations are busted. However, there are times when even evidences and testimonials are not enough to give true justice for honest businessmen like Dr. Rajan Mahtani; and these occur due to the widespread corruption and illegal activities across the Zambian law and government offices.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani

A prime example of this corruption and inability of businessmen like Dr. Rajan Mahtani to seek justice can be seen with the latest testimony from Supreme Court Judge Mumba Malila. Honourable Justice Mumba Malila from the Supreme Court of Zambia recently testified in a case pertaining to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In this case, he highlighted the case of 2012 which went against the claims of Dr. Mahtani. However, the testimony from Mumba Malila reveals a whole new light on this case. According to his testimony, the case was against the interests of the public policies and was motivated by several unethical political undertones. Even Mumba Malila, who was Attorney General during that time, requested to make the case null and void due to the unethical and improper nature of the case. However, no such actions were taken during that time and in his testimony, Mumba Malila suggested this happened as the Tribunal and the government was influenced by some powerful and corrupt politicians as well as businessmen.

Therefore, it can be said that until these corrupt politicians and businessmen are not removed from power, hope for revival of Zambian economy is limited.
